See Stanley Kubrick’s Iconic NASA f/0.7 Lens & the Mitchell 35mm camera It Used

In cinematography many lenses got to the iconic status. One of them holds maybe the highest crown. It is the iconic f/0.7 NASA Carl Zeiss. The lens that Stanley Cubric used to film the famous scene with the actors lit just by natural light of a candle. In the below video we see some of the technics used to shoot those scenes.

The video was put together by Adam Savage, a former Mythbusters member while the Stanley Kubrick exhibition is in his home town San Fransisco. Adam is taking us to a tour of the exhibition going through some iconic props and equipment, though in our opinion the most impressive is the f/0.7 super fast lense.
